Smokefree Legislation Media Campaign

A media campaign was funded by the Ministry of Health to help support implementation of the smokefree legislation in December 2004, and to remind people to comply with the new law banning smoking in all indoor workplaces, including bars, restaurants, and clubs.

The media campaign was developed by the HSC and included two television commercials, backed by radio and print advertising.

The first commercial aired prior to the smokefree legislation being enforced on 10 December 2004. The second commercial went to air in early 2005 after the implementation of the legislation.
